Dirk, the beer drinker ;-)
Our favorite, fan&beer loving German friend, Dirk left Lincoln on Sunday. We got together on Saturday night for him.Hope he had a good time and of course safe trip to Germany. He is coming back for a few days for his thesis defense next semester, so those who would be in Lincoln...Don't miss him when he comes!!
"Exit 420"
"Exit 420" on I-80 will be a memorable place for me forever. My best friend, Brooke, came back to Omaha for Thanks giving holiday from Washington DC.She and I met up at "Exit 420" on I-80 because it was in-between Omaha and Lincoln. It was not a long time reunion but I was happy to see her again.And...I am hoping to see her on the way home to Japan from Brazil after my backpack trip. I think that's why I was not too sad about saying bye this time...Another hope for seeing her in March saved me from being too sad for now. "Exit 420"!! We never forget that place like Brooke said.
Marianna's Birthday
It was my friend Marianna's Birthday. Can you guess how old she is now??Look at her in the second picture! Looking so cute with roses from her boyfriend!!
Good Times...
My friends always take better pictures than I do so I stole some pics on facebook...haha.Copy rights@ Otto and Bryan!!!!Halloween, Halloween, Halloween... To tell the truth, I hate to wear costumes...But it was my last halloween in Lincoln, you know. We had a party at Bryan's and I became a cowgirl. I even had a rope with me, haha. And as you can see in the third pic, it was a birthday for Bryan, Dirk, and Will....and this Friday, 3rd of November. I had so much fun.I had lunch and coffee with Bryan and Otto. Then afternoon beers with them plus Otto's friend, Sam.Then watching and dancing basic steps of Tango (I should know how to dance tango b/c I am going to Argentina, right!?!?), and nice and relaxed time at Bryan's place.I always have good times with them. No exceptions. and I love my friends. My heart is truly breaking that I have to leave them in December.
St. Louis Trip
I went to St. Louis for my last fall break. I didn't know almost anything about the city...but I liked it there very much. The city was filled with fans of Cardinals when I went there.Picture 1: Grand Arch...We went up there. The view was cool!!!Picture 2: Bud factory. I am not a big fan of Budweiser but how can you help free beers??It was a fun trip except the part that I had to do all the driving...
Backpack Trip Plan!!!
Fedex delivered the very two books that I was waiting for yesterday... Lonely Planet!! Central America and South Americaaaa!!! I am planning to take a backpack trip to Central and South America after I graduate in December. I haven't planned it in detail yet but I want to start my trip either from Mexico or Guatemala and go down to Panama and fly into South America...I am going to start working in April so I think I am able to travel from beginning of January till middle of March, about 2 months or so. I am 100% sure though that I would have to have some fights and arguments with my parents...They are really nice people but sometimes worry about me too much...When I talked to my mom about the idea of backpack, her face turned to be blue then red...got furious. But anyways, if I didn't do this now, then when???I thought about taking a trip to Europe to see my friends there but there are more accesses to Europe from Japan than to Central&South America. I am sure to be able to have other chances to go to Europe. Plus, it is closer to go down there from the U.S. SO! I have decided to go down to South of the U.S. This time, in this trip, I know I have to be careful. I am often too careless. And I guess that's why I god my credit card robbed in Paris :( (I can write about what happened later!) I am really excited though, to take this trip. I cannot wait...Oh, if you have any suggestions or ideas, please let me know! That would be really helpful!
Oklahoman Friends
My Japanese Friedns from Oklahoma came to visit me in Lincoln this weekend :)Total of four people from there, all stayed at my place. I don't have enough bed or sofa for all of them so we slept on the carpet floor with sleeping bag. It was like a small indoor camping. Fun fun fun.It was such a sunny weekend that we went to BBQ!! and bars.Fantastic weekend...
Marcela's Parents Visit.
My friend Marcela's parents from Czech Republic were here in Lincoln yesterday!!
Some of her friends got together for the dinner at Bryan's place. I was late a little because of my night class but it was so nice to her parents. It was funny though that her mom was confused with my name SACHI with SUSHI. Well, it is understandable, isn't it??? Sachi and sushi are close!I wish we had more time to spend time together... Hope they will have a safe trip to go back home. Ajoy!!
Starting Blog
Hi, guys!! I am graduating in this Decemer (if I can pass all the classes!) and I am already feeling sad about leaving here. Some people say that Lincoln is such a boring city that they hate to be here....Well..., it is ture that Lincoln is a small city, which means that you have less options of entertainment compared to bigger cities. But I never hated Lincoln. To me, important thing is always people. I think I am able to live anywhere as long as I have people that I like. I have them here in Lincoln now! And I know that I will miss them so much....Some of my good friends are already gone from Lincoln, too.(Like those 2 girls in the pictre with me.) And I miss them very badly. That's why I have decided to keep a blog. I will try to keep you guys updated.
So please leave me some comments!!!!!
Thanks,sachi
